This is a website I created sometime ago and have decided to use it as my permanent site while using phpBB3.0.2's features to manage user login and registration. It's Tableless, XHTML 1.0 Strict, CSS2 Compliant and supports a Downloads area in the forums by using the attachment feature.
I design themes, and other things, just for Ravennuke™ and you can look at and download the stuff you like from my downloads area, just click the link. There's also a fully integrated news page with news links from the RavenNuke™ community and you can submit your own news items.
Drop Down Menu for your RavenNuke™ CMS or your HTML site. Get a copy from the Downloads area and customize it to suit your needs. For a demo look to the top center of this page. That's where I offer my Shout/Chat boxes. I explain the details in the Download area.
I look for quality Truly Freeware and I guess about everyone does. As a long time user of Download3000 I decided to link to their brand new site. Hope you find something there you need. But beware...they do have software that is posing as Freeware but it is actually Shareware!

CCleaner
I can't say that I use this handy utility daily but when I unstall software that I have tested I use it's Registry function to clean out all of the garbage that gets left behind.

I test drive alot of software and I mostly have good things to say about the things I test. Here I give you the results of my latest test run of a popular software for your Win XP machine. This review is about IrfanView go there for a full description.
From the website: IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista.
The amount of features that are included in Irfanview are too many to describe here, but I'll cover the ones I used the most. For creating thumbnails Irfanview offers a standalone application called Irfanview Thumbnails but you can easily create thumbnails of any size by using the standard Irfanview application the image resize/resample feature. I reduced wallpapers down from 1600 x 1200px to half that size using the automatic reduction option under the Image menu, and suprizingly enough they still had really good contrast and clarity. There's also an excellent feature to preserve the aspect ratio of an image. Image effects options are numerous and great for buttons. I used that feature to add effects to all of my link-to-me buttons. I used the twain feature to grab a drawing I made from my scanner, added some effects to it and then reduced the size all in the matter of 2 minutes. It's a fast muti-tasking multi-featured photo editor. The only drawback is you can't picel edit images or graphics. But, for photo editing it's great and one app I can't do without.
